A forward deployed engineer sits with the client, learns how their business actually runs, and ships working AI into the systems they use every day. Our internship trains you on the work we do daily, prepares you to earn a Claude certification, and then places you on a client engagement.
Four phases. You move to the next one when you’ve shown you can do the work, not when a calendar says so.
Free Anthropic Academy coursework plus hands-on builds on our own products. You learn our tools and our standards before you ever see client data.
You prepare for and sit Anthropic’s Claude Certified Developer – Foundations exam. Architect-track interns also take Claude Certified Architect – Foundations.
You pair with a senior engineer on a live engagement. You build; a senior reviews every change before it ships.
You’re placed on a client engagement as a forward deployed engineer, on site or hybrid depending on the client, with ERP Access behind you.
These are the skills our team uses every week on real client work, not a classroom syllabus.
Use Claude Code in real repositories, write agent skills, build MCP connectors that let Claude read and act on business systems, and ship through pull requests with automated security review.
Saved searches, CSV imports, workflows, roles and permissions, month-end support, integration troubleshooting, and extracting years of history when a company moves off the platform.
Read leases, letters of intent and UCC filings with Claude, extract the terms, and push them through validation code that refuses any value the source doesn’t support.
SQL, Postgres with row-level access rules, CSV and JSON wrangling, and tying every total back to the system of record.
Deploy web apps, set up custom domains and DNS, keep client sites patched, and take a backup and a before-and-after check on every change.
Write tests and evaluation suites, run independent review passes, and never call something done until the evidence says it is.
Every system we build follows one rule: AI reads and talks; deterministic code verifies and calculates; humans handle exceptions. As an intern, you’ll learn to build that way from day one.
Forward deployed work is as much about people as code. You’ll write status updates clients can act on, train the people who use what you build, answer quickly, and keep your time records accurate.
Email us your resume and a link to something you’ve built (a GitHub repo, an app, or a project write-up). Use the subject line “Forward Deployed Engineer Internship.”
